World Environment Day 2024 Recap
On 5th June 2024, Nature Care Initiative hosted a remarkable World Environment Day event at Jaydeb Sadan, Paradip Port, Paradip, Odisha, celebrating our collective commitment to the environment under the banner of 'One World, One Future'.
Event Highlights:
Session 1: Environmental Quiz Competition
Students from various schools participated enthusiastically in our quiz competition, demonstrating their knowledge of environmental issues. It was an engaging start to the event, with students showcasing their awareness and winning fantastic prizes.
Talks on 'Climate Change and Kaizen Steps for Mitigation'
The session featured insightful talks from eminent environmentalist and students from different school & Colleges
Session 2: Celebration of World Enviornment Day -2024
It includes esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi, Hon’ble Judge, High Court of Orissa. Special Guest Shri Dukhu Majhi , Padmashree Awardee and other high dignitaries.Their speeches highlighted practical steps to combat climate change and inspired the audience to take action.
Special Segments:
• Interactive Session: The event included an interactive session with the people of Paradip and eminent environmentalists, fostering discussions on solutions and ideas for a sustainable future.
• Memento Distribution: We celebrated the efforts of all participants by distributing mementos and certificates, acknowledging their dedication to environmental stewardship.
• Quiz Competition Awards: Winners of the quiz competition were honored with medals, recognizing their knowledge and commitment to the cause.
• Short Play: Sensitize the audience about the usage of Cotton bag
We distributed 750 seedlings among students and participants, who pledged to care for them as their friends. Additionally, we distributed 1,000 cotton bags and encouraged participants to use them in their daily lives. We also invited them to upload their experiences to the NatureCare Green Warrior community to serve as role models and inspire others.
The event was a significant step towards environmental awareness and action. We thank all participants, guests, and attendees for their contributions in making this event a success.
